Searchable Directory
In this example, we are using a Data Table with Search widget. It will paginate the collection, offer sortable columns, and a search as well as a print option. It is also Tablet and Mobile friendly. In this example, we are automatically adding submissions to the collection and allowing them to show in the directory without an approval process. However, by adding an approval column (y) to your collection you could filter for only those you have reviewed and approved (recommended)
Professional Directory FAQs
Can I have a Business Directory?
Sure. But it does require some thought and setup. A basic one using an internal collection can easily be done.
How does this work?
The above example works using a combination of features like a Form (in this case Paperform connected to a Google Sheet), a Collection (connected to that Google Sheet), and a Widget (connected to the collection).
Optionally, you could just create a simple internal collection and connect it to a widget like an Accodion. It does not have to be complicated.
Does it have to be done using Paperform?
No. It can be setup using a basic Contact Form widget, however, you may lose some functionality on the form side (like logic based questions).
Can I do this myself or is there a cost?
Absolutely, you could do it yourself. However, it requires time and knowledge to set it up. The technical level varies on how complex of a setup you want. If you are comfortable enough to do it, then you certainly can. However, if you need or want us to set it up and to support it, we are happy to do it, but there will need to be some project cost/time covered as professional services.
Can it include a logo?
Yes and no. While there is a away for the widget to display a logo there are many technical reasons that make it much more complex. If you choose to include logos it will not be automatic, and it will likely require managing and editing images manually.
